Stanley for U.S. Senate 2002 - Colorado

"This time make your vote count!" - Rick Stanley, Libertarian for U.S. Senate 2002 - CO
web site index:

Rick was endorsed by the
Veterans' Voting Bloc!
U.S. Army U.S. Navy U.S. Air Force U.S. Marine Corps U.S. Coast Guard

Active duty and retired members of the military deserve our deepest respect, and our highest regard. Many have sacrificed their health, and indeed many have sacrificed their lives, to protect our country and the principles of liberty and freedom America represents.

From the Bonus Army, to today's Vietnam and Gulf War veterans, our government has an odd history of forgetting those who have served our nation.

Our government has turned its back on countless veterans who are in need of medical care. This injustice cannot be allowed to continue.

Briefly, the agreement each candidate must sign before receiving the
VVB's endorsement reads as follows:
That they make a public statement to sponsor the necessary legislation,
or they make a written pledge, to vote for the issues briefly detailed below.

(for the complete text of the agreement with
more complete descriptions -

1. to enact total entitlement for concurrent receipt of both VA disability pay and military retirement checks

2. to support necessary legislation to restore the no-cost, earned lifetime medical/dental care benefits to retired military veterans and their spouses.

3. to enact legislation to provide the VA enough resources to process claims within 6 months.

4. to enact legislation to change the Uniform Services Former Spouses Protection Act to calculate retirement divisions by rank at time of divorce -- not retirement.

5. to enact legislation to allow for active duty personnel to sue the government for medical malpractice. (This does not affect accidental injuries suffered during wartime, or training for war.)

6. to enact legislation providing for an initiative petition process at the federal level.

Rick Stanley has signed the Veterans' Voting Bloc agreement, and will not forget our veterans when he gets to Washington. Please read the agreement, and if you're a veteran follow the link below to join this voting bloc.

Together we will make sure our government honors its heroes,
instead of abandoning them...
