A cartoon booklet showing primary school children how to pleasure themselves
sexually was published yesterday by a Government-funded charity.
The controversial guide includes a cartoon of a girl apparently masturbating
in the bath, and says it is "totally normal" to be attracted to people of the
same sex.
The controversial guide
There are also diagrams showing where the clitoris is in the Family Planning
Association leaflet, entitled 4You.
Teachers, family values campaigners and educationalists said the guide was
inappropriate for its target age group of nine to 11-year-olds.
However, its author, Liz Swinden, a former teacher and a writer on sex
education, said: "It's less twee than some previous books and more in touch with
what kids' lives are like. People complain about spoiling children's innocence
but they need to know about their bodies and how they will develop."
Last night critics questioned the use of this type of literature for primary
schools. Nick Seaton, of the Campaign for Real Education, said: "Parents will be
horrified that this sort of pornographic material is being targeted at primary
school children."
Robert Whelan, director of Family and Youth Concern, said: "We do not think
this kind of literature should be made available in primary schools. It could be
disturbing for young children and it is an issue of concern for parents.
"Almost all the FPA's funding comes from the state and the FPA basically
represents the official point of view in the Health Department and Department
for Education."
Sue Clemson, a head teacher, said she would not be using it with her pupils.
"I really didn't like the pictures and I would consider myself open-minded."
Anne Wyeman, chief executive of the FPA, said: "Primary schools and parents
need to work together to ensure no child is left in fear or ignorance about
their sexual development."

Child sex book given out at U.N. summit
A UNICEF-funded book being passed out at the United Nations Child Summit
encourages children to engage in sexual activities with other minors and with
homosexuals and animals. As the delegations to the summit remain deadlocked on
abortion, international nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that support the
U.S. delegation's anti-abortion stance circulated copies of pages from a
UNICEF-funded book given to delegates from Latin America that promotes sexual
activity and abortion among teens in their countries. "Reproductive health
includes the following components: Counseling on sexuality, pregnancy, methods
of contraception, abortion, infertility, infections and diseases," says the
Spanish-language book, whose title translates to "Theoretic Elements for Working
with Mothers and Pregnant Teens." An accompanying workshop book produced by the
U.N. Children's Fund (UNICEF) tells Latin American mothers and teens:
"Situations in which you can obtain sexual pleasure: 1. Masturbation. 2.
Sexual relations with a partner - whether heterosexual, homosexual, or
bisexual. 3. A sexual response that is directed toward inanimate objects,
animals, minors, non-consenting persons."

The U.N. wants your children!
You see, when you want to reduce the population of the world, you put women to
work so they don't procreate. You create enough questions in the minds of pre-
and post-puberty youth that they just might be homosexual because they don't
procreate. And you teach the retarded how to masturbate - such as they did in
Montgomery County, Md., eight years ago.

Children 'having sex at 11'
More than a quarter of 11-year-olds in the UK know someone their age who is
having sex, according to a new survey. The charity, Marie Stopes International,
commissioned the study of 1,077 children aged from 11-15. It intends to use the
findings to win support for a new campaign it is running to supply any child
logging onto its website with free condoms on request, which will be posted to
them at home.

Sexy pop stars 'threaten childhood'
Kylie Minogue: criticised for relying more on appearance than singing
Children are being put under pressure to grow up too soon by pop stars who use
a sexy image to promote their songs, a teachers' leader says. Jim O'Neill,
chairman of the Professional Association of Teachers, has warned that the
innocence of childhood is being eroded by the sexual imagery of stars such as
Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears. "Kylie Minogue might be a great singer but in
many of these things you can see more of her bottom than you hear of her voice,"
said Mr O'Neill. And he complained that the pressure to grow up too soon meant
that primary school girls were going to school in "ridiculously short skirts"
and "dressing like teenagers - it might be appropriate in a club but certainly
not in a school". He also said Britney Spears had adopted a more "raunchy"
image, which children would follow.
