To Clifford,
Will you see if you can identify a curious property of the airplane trail
in this photograph --

The jet trail has horizontal areas that are spaced equally apart. I can
see four of these areas, counting up from the bottom of the photo. What would be
the cause of these areas?
The question is directed also to anyone that could answer. Thanks.
