Libertarians gathered in Denver on Saturday,
June 1st at Denvers City Park to hear a variety of
speeches including those of U. S. Senate candidate Rick
Stanley and Gubernatorial candidate Ralph Schnelvar. Stanley, who was convicted in May by a Denver Court for strapping on a sidearm at a speech last year in Denver, is appealing that decision and told Speakout! that he expects to win that case at the U. S. Supreme Court level. Stanley appears to be a man who puts his money where his mouth is by taunting Denver officials with blatant outbursts of First and Second Amendment activity (See his Letter to the Editor on Page 11 - click here). Stanley told the crowd of Libertarians that he wants to establish uncorrupted constitutional courts. He also chastised government controlled education. He also chastised Democrats and Republicans, suggesting that voters should put people in office who are not there for whats in it for them. Stop these Democrats and Republicans from ruining our country, he stated. If you dont, a total police state will be there for the rest of your lives and you and your kids will be put in jail. Stanley reminded supporters that in approximately 1994, the Russians had a one day revolution and not a shot was fired and the government changed."; Schnelvar told the crowd, "You voted for medical marijuana. What did (Gov.) Bill Owens do? He called in the feds to arrest sick, dying people." |
