"Senate

Taxes Are Not Our Business"

Release - "I made a statement to AP journalist Jon Sarche that It"s nobody's damn business regarding my tax returns," said Libertarian candidate for Senate, Rick Stanley. (Senator) Wayne Allard is steering the debate to tax returns because he wants to paint Strickland as the 1.4 million dollar lawyer/lobbyist. So, Wayne Allard is the $123,594.00 professional politician. Stanley says anyone who wants his tax return can go to hell. None of this addresses the real issues of this campaign which he says are Democrats creating socialism and Republicans creating Fascism. The Denver Post distorted my four word quote from the AP, apparently using the old ploy of distorting what any Libertarian says to paint them in an uncomplimentary light. By leaving a hole in the sentence "It's nobody's....business," it leads people to believe that I said something unprintable. The Denver Post is deliberately creating an unfavorable impression of me with the public. Let me give you an example. My own employees said "What word did you say that they couldn't print?" I think my point's been made. |
