Repeal All Unconstitutional Laws
Rick Stanley first delivered this speech on Saturday, January 19, 2002
He appeared at a rally in Denver's Veterans Park at noon that day.

Rick is encouraging all participants in the National Bill of Rights Campaign
(
see the NBORC page) to feel free to use all or parts of this speech at their
own public rallies.

This Candidate & This Campaign Are Not Politically Correct

The Bill of Rights, the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence all contain one mandate. Our beliefs are right, and the Democrats and Republicans in government are wrong. We are politically right. We are invincible because our principles are the principles of the founding fathers.

This is not a boast. It is with a sense of pride that we steadfastly hold these principles dear to our hearts, remaining firm in our defense of these three documents against the onslaughts of an unconstitutional government.

Party lines have become blurred with the Democrats and Republicans at the helm for the last 150 years. But the future line of demarcation is clear to those who defend the Constitition, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence. We demand the repeal of all unconstitutional laws. We insist that the United States government can only pass those laws that stay within the confines of the Constitution.

The Constitution draws a boundary. It clearly limits the power of American government. This is the Covenant the people of America have made with all
who would take up the reins of power.

The alternative to our vision of constitutional government is failure, and the loss of all that we hold dear.

We demand our birthright. It has been guaranteed with the blood of our forefathers. We demand fulfillment of the Covenant. Government in the United States must live up to its promise to obey the Constitution. Period. We will accept no less. Our voices will grow louder with each passing day, and we will be heard, and our demands will be met. Our government must do nothing except repeal the unconstitutional laws, until they are all gone. The function of government after that date will be to stay within the confines of the Constitution, and to govern only by the consent of the people.

We do not take our vow to stop this contemptible unconstitutional government lightly. Our numbers will grow as we continue to expose the fraud this government has been perpetrating upon the American people for generations.

The men and women who seek political office are covetous. They're greedy. They want money, and influence, and power. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

That is why we, the people, are the guardians and custodians of our promised birthright. These three documents -- the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence -- are to us a Holy Grail. We must guard them with our lives, our integrity, and our honor. The promise of our forefathers will be fulfilled. Our principles -- the principles on which America was founded -- will not be compromised.

Our forefathers took their promise very seriously. That is why the Constitution includes Article 6, which requires that every holder of public office must take an oath to support and protect the Constitution. That is why Article 6 also says that the Constitution is the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND.

No other law that can be made is higher than the Constitution. The Constitution itself says so. And the Supreme Court has said so in numerous opinions and decisions.

The authority of our government is limited by the Constititution. The Constitution clearly says that government derives its authority from the people. That authority can only continue if the people agree that it serves them.

If we, the people, determine that some provision of the Constitution is not serving us any more, we have the right and the obligation to amend the Constitution. But the government has no authority to make those changes by passing ordinary laws -- not even once.

They have transgressed the Constitution more than once. They have passed hundreds of thousands of unconstitutional laws. There are over twenty thousand unconstitutional gun control laws that have been passed against the Second Amendment alone.

Our current government officials must be held to the standards they swore to protect and defend when they accepted the office they currently hold. We, the people, must ensure and guarantee that they do comply. We must cry out with a single voice, and we will cry out with a single voice:

REPEAL ALL UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAWS!
