FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 1, 2002 NEWS RELEASE Stanley for U.S. Senate
=========================================================== Evil Alliance -- Different Evildoers (DENVER CO) Rick Stanley, U.S. Senate candidate for the Libertarian Party made the following statement regarding the laid-off Enron workers seeking help from Congress: "After Enron paid millions of
dollars in bonuses to key executives of the company and
then stiffed the rank and file workers by stealing the
401K money of employees, invested in company stock, I am
demanding that the Federal Government attach the accounts
of all executives of the company that received such
bonuses and repay the 401K plan holders. Federal
bankruptcy laws should be changed immediately to make
workers pay and their retirement plans be secured
creditors that would be at the top of the list for
available assets. Bank loans to these corporate
predators should be secondary creditors for the Enron
case and all future bankruptcy cases. The cycle of
corporate, banking and government laws protecting assets
at the expense of employees is obscene and must be
broken. The Legislative and Judicial system's
partnership with big banking and big corporations must
end. A complete overhaul of the U.S. Government in
all three branches is in order to bring this
unconstitutional government and it's evil partnership
with the International Banking community, the Federal
Reserve and big corporations into compliance with the
boundaries limited to them by the supreme law of the
land, the Constitution." ##30## =========================================================== For information about
