======================================================

To all media outlets and Veterans' Service Organizations:

The Veterans Voting Bloc was established in December of 2001. We currently have over 3,000 voting squads established throughout the country. Our mission statement is attached along with the list of requirements for U.S. Congressional candidates wanting our support. Also, the attachment has a copy of our letter of support for our latest candidate.

We are totally non-partisan, and will vote only for any candidate who avows to sponsor/co-sponsor AND vote for our list of six issues affecting veterans. To date, we have the following candidates who have made the written requisite pledge in the order they made the pledge:

  1. Jim Parker, Rep. candidate for the Senate from NC
  2. Dick Campbell, Rep. candidate for the House from the 2nd District of ME
  3. Felix Alvarado, Dem. candidate for the House from the 6th District of Texas
  4. Rick Stanley, Lib. candidate for the Senate from Colorado
  5. Rick Renzi, Lib. candidate for the House from the first District of Arizona
  6. Biff Baker, Lib. candidate for the House from the 5th District of Colorado
  7. Herb Meyer, Rep. candidate for the House from the 2nd District of Washington State
  8. Adam Katz, Lib. candidate for the House from the 6th District of Colorado

While the above participation is truly phenomenal given our short time in operation, we need to get the word out to ALL veterans and veteran supporters throughout the country. Our goal is to have at least one voting squad in each town in America by 10-26-02, and at least 500,000 members by Nov, 2004.

I know your organization cannot support any political candidate, due to your 501 C 3 charter, therefore, we only ask that you put the information out to your members, along with our website, so they may make an INDIVIDUAL decision to join us. There is no cost to join the Veterans' Voting Bloc. You may join at:
