Libertarian Stanley Leads in U.S. Senate Poll

(DENVER CO) Rick Stanley, U.S. Senate Candidate from Colorado for the Libertarian Party, made the following announcement to the media:

In a recent poll conducted over this past weekend, Rick Stanley, had a resounding lead over his opponents for the U.S. Senate in Colorado.

When the question, “If the November 5, 2002 election for U.S. Senate were held today would you vote for Rick Stanley, the independent third party Libertarian candidate, someone else, or undecided,”  Stanley had a whopping 58%, someone else has 26% and 16% were undecided.  

The poll conducted by independent citizens of Colorado, used previously established and accepted practices that have been employed by the Rocky Mountain News, Denver Post, Channel 7 and Cirulli and Associates.

An independent poll expert said that the numbers certainly make sense, because the adult population of Colorado, that could vote in the next election is made up of roughly 60% Independent and third parties, and the remaining 40% belongs to the two major parties.
