PATRICIA CALHOUN WESTWORD REBUTTAL

October 25, 2002

Patricia Calhoun
Managing Editor
Westword Newspaper

Dear Ms. Calhoun:

The following is my response to your articled entitled "Mr. Stanley We Presume." Your efforts to date, to discredit the Stanley Campaign, are once again beneath the journalistic standard YOU should be aspiring to. Assassinating Rick Stanley's character with the offending article however, is typical of the Denver Media, i.e., the Post and the Rocky Mountain News. Destroying third party campaigns appears to be the game of the week for your ilk. Trivializing my efforts to secure debate status for all candidates on the ballot in the U.S. Senate race, betrays your ignorance of the real issues in the 2002 elections.

I filed this federal lawsuit, for three reasons:

  1. The debate sponsors that did not allow Stanley and Campbell into the debates violated FCC and FEC law.
  2. They deprived the public of some very real viewpoints different from the Strickland/Allard fluff.
  3. The public has a right to know what all the candidates think through the debate forums. When the media selects only two from each ballot, they are deciding for Colorado voters what the choices are. This is an obscene slap in the face to the American elective process.

Regarding the Cirulli poll numbers you proudly parceled out. The Cirulli poll and the other polls are funded by big money interests, i.e. the two major parties. They only poll registered Democrats and Republicans in these polls, and they do not mention my name. I still show up in the poll numbers, because there are many democrats and republicans who are going to vote for me. My strength lies in the one million strong unaffiliated registered voter and once again, no polls that have polled the unaffiliated, have mentioned my name. While at the Pueblo debate last Friday night, a Republican staffer pulled me aside and told me of a poll in Pueblo County they had just completed. He mentioned that this poll, like many others they had done were "honest" polls, and would never be put in front of the public, just as none of the other "honest" polls were either. He related that seventy percent of the U.S. Senate poll in Pueblo County were voting for third party candidates, and the bulk of that was for Stanley. It seems that "honest" answers are resonating with the voters, WHEN the voter can hear them, which leads me to my top priorities of campaign issues:

  1. We have a clause in the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 allowing the U.S. to buy back the Federal Reserve "Corporation" for roughly $500 billion dollars any time we wish. The FED holds the $7 Trillion dollar interest debt paid by the income tax and the social security debt of $10 trillion dollars for a total of $17 trillion dollars. Good purchase don't you think? $500 billion to buy the company that holds the notes for our $17 trillion dollar debt? No more income tax, IRS, federal debt, etc. The U.S. Treasury makes our money again, backed by gold and silver, and Americans now can keep an extra 30 to 40 percent of their wages which will create the greatest economic boom in the history of the United States of America. Why doesn't the government answer this question as to why they are fraudulently cheating Americans? Our federal government is funded by excise, imposts, and duties, and has been since 1776. The income tax was only to pay for the money making, and the interest costs incurred by turning over our money making to the 12 International Banks that own the Federal Reserve "Corp.", during that same year of 1913. Our gasoline, tobacco, alcohol and taxes on products coming into this country are huge, and are the only things funding the U.S. federal government, and can continue to do the same in the future. It is time to end the income tax/IRS/Federal Reserve "Corp." slavery imposed by the legislators in government that have sold America out since 1913.

  2. Privatizing Social Security 100%. Those who have already retired get their promised benefits until death. The rest of us, get ALL of our money put into this fraudulent system, returned to us, including the money put in for us by our respective employers. From that day forward, each individual will keep the roughly 7 and 1/2% currently deducted from each wage check, and handle our own retirement accounts as we see fit, thank you very much. The 7 and 1/2% currently being matched by employers, will be kept by the employer, thereby helping to make our business owners more profitable, so they can prosper and provide jobs for America. The politicians each year, have failed America because of their cowardice to solve this very real American problem. My opponents are dragging out the same time worn excuses and non answers to this issue. I won't. I want to address America's problems head on. The Social Security Trust Fund was looted by the politicians, and is empty. The money is being paid out of the general fund, and Social Security and Medicare benefits, are being cut back. The lie continues. Stop robbing Americans to fund all of the globalist agendas, with their control of the American government, through politicians. I don't care how many assets the government must sell, to repay America, for our own retirement funds.

  3. Repeal all unconstitutional laws. There are no politicians in the 535 member U.S. Congress, with the exception of Representative Ron Paul of Texas, who will defend their respective oaths of office, to defend our U.S. Constitution. I feel that our elected officials should identify laws that violate the U.S. Constitution, and if the Congress will not repeal, each office holder should do an act of civil disobedience similar to Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and yes, Rick Stanley. Twice in the last year I purposely violated gun law and ordinances in Denver and Thornton, to bring to the attention of Coloradoans that cities were violating their constitutional civil rights to keep and bear arms. With these acts of civil disobedience against unconstitutional ordinances, I also have exposed the judicial system in Colorado, city, county and district jurisdictions, of failing to allow the U.S. constitutional rights of Americans, in those same courtrooms. Every court in America that has a gold fringed flag is a martial law court, also called an admiralty jurisdiction court and the only rights you have as an individual, are the rights the judge decides to give you. Americans have a constitutional guarantee, to have a common law constitutional court BEFORE any martial law court jurisdiction. I will appeal these ordinances all the way up to the Supreme Court to overturn these unconstitutional abominations against our state and national constitutions

America needs legislators with the integrity, fortitude, and pure common sense to return America to a constitutional government, and return the government to the people. America' government has been overthrown from within, and the people have been asleep, assured by the politicians that they were guarding America's interests, while they have been robbing America of its' property, wages and will to resist those in government , who are intent on stealing America's birthright.

For more information on Rick Stanley's campaign, go to www.stanley2002.org . On November 6th, one day after the election, I am spearheading the formation of a new third super party. This party will hopefully combine all of the smaller third parties in Colorado and eventually the country, into one large party, called the Unaffiliated. In Colorado, there are roughly one million unaffiliated registered voters and another one million people, who out of disgust with the two party system are not registered, and do not vote. This will be our voter target of the new party. Americans will be happy to support a party, made up of a large coalition of third parties, unaffiliated, and disgusted individuals, who will now have a large party to support, with a platform based upon the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and a federal government that stays out of American's lives. Americans can make their own individual decisions for their own lives, independent of the government.

Ms. Calhoun, if you are willing to be the only editor with integrity and ethics, you will print this in it's entirety as "An Interview with Rick Stanley" type article, giving it the same amount of journal space as you did with last week's article, and publishing it in next week's Westword, not burying it in some corner of your letters to the editor, raping my words or castrating all third parties because they "don't fit" into your personal political agenda. This will satisfy the FEC and FCC rules that I forwarded to you last week, and is the "right thing to do." If I do say so myself - this article will raise some eyebrows. Raising eyebrows moves papers, which sells advertising, which puts money in your pocket, follow the money.
