IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 18th, 2002 NEWS RELEASE Stanley for U.S. Senate
======================================================== RESPONSE TO CAROL KRECK DENVER POST REPORTER This is a response and question to Carol Kreck, reporter for the Denver Post, from one of my southern Colorado supporters: As a supporter of Rick Stanley, I would like to respond regarding the article in the Denver Post written by Carol Kreck as follows: The National Republican Senatorial committee has sent a letter to Denver TV station managers requesting that certain ads be pulled because of deceptive advertising that reminded station managers, that as licensees, their "station has a duty to protect the public from false, misleading, and deceptive advertising." I would pose this question: Why then are there any ads on the TV from Allard and Strickland as well as all other candidates running for office? Each one of them is advertising a government foreign and unknown to the organic U.S. Constitution of 1787 and the Bill of Rights of 1791. For example, under constitutional governance, a Declaration of War is required from Congress authorizing the President War powers. Yet, Senator Allard and ninety-nine others in the Senate passed a "resolution." Only _corporations_ can create and pass resolutions. Is this not deceptive advertising?" Ms. Kreck, I also want answers to these questions, why are the local Denver stations allowing these deceptive advertisings to continue? Why would Congress have to pass a "resolution" instead of a declaration of war? Could it be because we no longer have a constitutional government, but rather we have a corporate governing entity? Is the media unwilling to publish the truth about the real "shadow" government we have today? ##30## ======================================================== For information about the Libertarian Party of Colorado please visit http://www.lpcolorado.org.
