Rick Stanley, Constitutional Activist, former U.S. Senate candidate, Enemy of
the State, and self avowed extremist on the order of our forefathers of America,
gave the following media release for your use:
The following is the text of a Statement released to local, regional and
national media. If you have not seen this in the news, that fact alone
demonstrates that the media / government complex wants to hide something from
you.
Urgent message to the free People of Colorado, from Rick Stanley: It's high time
for the People to learn what the media won't cover accurately, if at all; and
the politicians and bureaucrats won't admit. Please, after you read this, crank
up your fax machines, copy machines, telephones & internet connections, and
distribute this to everyone you know. We can outmaneuver the government/media
complex The Freedoms you save will be your own!
SHOWDOWN in COLORADO
When is the "law" not legal? Who will stand up to official corruption?
Rick Stanley says the answer is the Mutual Defense Pact Militia.
Denver -. Why is the State trying to jail Colorado businessman Rick Stanley for
the "crime" of following his state's Constitution? And WHY is there a MEDIA
BLACKOUT on Stanley? Is his message so important, that it must be suppressed?
You may not agree with Stanley, who honored the Colorado Constitution and the
Constitution for the United States by openly carrying a personal sidearm in
public. Time was, that would not have been unusual, but in today's politically
incorrect climate, it's enough to set official teeth on edge. Stanley,
constitutional activist and former candidate for senate, had notified
authorities that he was going to peacefully exercise the right enshrined in two
constitutions; and that if arrested, he would not initiate a shoot-out. Stanley
may be determined, but he is no madman, and he didn't wish to give any
trigger-happy "law enforcement" officer an excuse to enforce local authority's
unlawful edicts against open carry.
Stanley was peaceably, though fraudulently, arrested and charged with a "crime
against the state." Just how peacefully exercising a protected right in a
non-threatening manner which harmed no one can become a crime has never been
satisfactorily explained, but that has not slowed Judge Robert L. Patterson
of the Denver City and County Court, Judge Charles Rose, City of Thornton
Municipal Judge, Judge Donald W. Marshall Jr. of the Adams County District
Court, Robert S. Hyatt of the Denver District Court, the entire Colorado Supreme
Court, Mack B. Danford, clerk of the Colorado Supreme Court, Colorado Court of
Appeals' J. Roy, J. Taubman, J. Graham, and U.S. District Court Federal Chief
Judge Louis T. Babcock, in their overzealous pursuit of Stanley.
Is this Colorado, or Alice-In-Wonderland?
The state is supposed to uphold Stanley's right to openly keep and bear arms
anywhere in the state of Colorado. SB-25 is recent legislation which requires
that all cities and counties respect the right of every law-abiding
(non-criminal) citizen to keep and bear arms. Stanley, along with every other
responsible citizen, has the right to openly carry a sidearm anywhere in the
state because the STATE CONSTITUTION says so; and now, with SB-25, that right is
clearly affirmed, and local, unconstitutional ordinances are pre-empted.
Stanley was "convicted" in what has all the appearance of kangaroo court
proceedings in Denver and Thornton before the March 18, 2003 effective date of
SB-25 (but NOT before the enactment of the Colorado Constitution in 1876). Any
reasonable person with a lick of common sense would be rushing to set aside the
earlier judgments against Stanley, but local courts, all the way to the Federal
District Court, say, "No sir, that awful Stanley is going to jail! Guilty we
say, and he will pay and pay, and do time for exercising his constitutional
right to openly carry a weapon, and doing no harm to anyone while doing so."
The "authorities," who are clearly not authorities on the Constitution or the
common law principles of natural law, don't care what Stanley's rights are, or
what harm he DIDN'T do. They want Stanley in jail. He's a thorn in their side.
He makes them look bad. The Truth has a way of doing that to ignorant or corrupt
judges and politicians. Stanley, you see, has a big mouth and is a rabble rouser
to boot. He has embarrassed the judicial branch of government, and now,
coincidentally(?), there is a media blackout on the whole Stanley situation in
Colorado.
"Bad Stanley," the judges, politicians, bureaucrats and the media tell the
People, when they admit that he exists at all. "Put him in jail, that's the
ticket," they say. They are pretty much forced to say that, if they want to keep
their cushy jobs. You see, if Stanley's fraudulent convictions are overturned in
Denver and Thornton, it will open up those cities to lawsuits by others, for all
of the guns, cars, cash fines, jail time, property,etc, collected over the years
by the avaricious cities from the People, whose victimless "crimes" were based
on transgressing the unconstitutional (and therefore, unlawful) acts of those
cities.
"We can't have that now, can we?" say the authorities These cities are cash
strapped now as it is, not because they don't take in plenty of money; but
because they spend too much! They spend on salaries for overlarge staff,
computers, huge retirement plans, edifices, new cars, telephones and a generally
lavish life-style which the average Coloradoan simply cannot afford - especially
after paying taxes to support his public "servants," who have somehow become our
masters!
"No, we can't let true justice prevail, now can we?" they say, "Certainly not if
we expect to continue to fool the People!"
That Darned Stanley and the Mutual Defense Pact Militia.
Whoops, Stanley is thinking he might just say "No!" Stanley just might say,
"Forget it, I am not going to jail or do ankle bracelet time or anything else.
Come and get me!
Now it gets interesting! If the judges wish to continue to make a mockery of
constitutional law, bench warrants will go out from Thornton and Denver. When
that happens, Stanley could put out warrants on all of the judges and officials
who have seen this case and refused to uphold the Constitutional right of the
People (not criminals, the People) to openly carry weapons ANYWHERE in the state
of Colorado. The mechanism for Stanley to do that is already in place, in the
Constitution, but how could such warrants be enforced?
Stanley believes he has the answer: enforce constitutional law with the Mutual
Defense Pact Militia! No more Waco's! No more jack-booted thugs murdering honest
citizens, then covering up the crime and announcing to the world that they have
"saved the children." How? By gunning them down, or burning them alive?
Judges scoff at Stanley and his militia They know they are above the law. After
all, they point out, "the law is what we say it is." (Say, wasn't there a
Revolutionary War, or something fought over just such official arrogance..?)
"Send the police out to catch Stanley away from his 'fortress compound' in
Denver," they say. "We don't need to attack him there, hell, he has already said
he would fire back. Someone could get killed and it might not be Stanley. That
just wouldn't do. We'll just wait for Stanley to get arrested for something. He
is a big blowhard, thinks he's fighting for America's rights. He will make a
mistake and once we have him, BOOM, jail time in Denver, 6 months and BOOM, jail
time in Thornton, 3 more months. We can probably tack on a few more months for
contempt of court. Hey, let's charge him as a terrorist under the Patriot Act.
We can get him for years! Let him call the Mutual Defense Pact Militia. They
only have 714 members now after 4 months of existence, and they don't come until
Stanley is attacked. Stanley resists the initial intruding force, and calls out
the Pact for help. But we don't have to attack him. We will just wait this one
out. One day he will make a mistake, and then, we got him! Hell, we don't want
another Waco - bad pubic relations."
"Hold on," Stanley says. "I think the issue now is, we now have Pact Warrants of
arrest for judges, something new for the robber barons and their hired thugs to
consider. Will the hired thugs protect the robber baron judges from the Pact
Warrants?"
Just a moment, is this Stanley fellow threatening judges? No one wants anarchy!
"No," says Stanley and several thousand, perhaps tens of thousands of supporters
and well-wishers throughout the land, "Stanley is simply enforcing the
Constitution - something the "authorities," in their corrupt self-interest, have
failed to do for too long. So Stanley is sending out Pact Warrants for the
arrest of corrupt scumbags, and they should be treated as such. What else can we
conclude about judges and officers of the "law," who want to jail and fine a man
for actually having the audacity to think he can exercise his constitutionally
guaranteed right to openly carry anywhere - even in Denver and Thornton,
Colorado. What next, someone thinking they can get married without a license
from the state?"
The "authorities" have suspended the Constitutions for this man in Colorado
because they can and it is not convenient for them to allow him to actually
exercise his constitutionally guaranteed rights.. You see, Denver and Thornton
have their own HOME RULE of law, and rely upon that to harass and arrest
Stanley, and anyone like him.
Oops, the Home Rule comes from the State Constitution, doesn't it? That would be
the state constitution which says no county or city can make any ordinances that
violate ANY rights of citizens which are guaranteed by the Colorado
Constitution. Oops, the Supreme Court overturned Home Rule in 1981, didn't
they..?
"Well, it doesn't matter, we will just ignore ALL of this and put him in jail
anyway," say the judges who are BAR lawyers, and have decided they are above the
law. They have interpreted the laws against Stanley and that is that!!!
"Hold on now, just a darn minute there," says Stanley. "I am an individual
sovereign citizen, and I won't accept a system that does not follow
Constitutional Law! The Constitution, the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND, says that I
must have a constitutional common law trial, a jury with all the trappings, and
the government can not trick me into anything else! So I refuse. Come and get
me. I will defend myself with force of arms, in the tradition of our
forefathers, and in that same tradition, I will call out brave men, and true,
who are equally committed to defending our Rights and our Constitution."
"I defended myself in the courts and all the arguments made are on the website
at www.stanley2002.org. These reasonable arguments are well researched and are
validated by constitutional and case law. Yet, all were ignored by every judge
who ever sat on this case, from beginning to end."
"Yes, " proclaims Stanley, "I will call the Mutual Defense Pact Militia to
defend me if attacked by these paid thugs in uniforms with guns. If they come
within my 21 foot zone, I will defend myself. Once attacked inside my 21 foot
zone, I will go on the offensive to defend myself. I am not like all the others
they have gunned down and then "justified" it with something made up. I can and
will defend myself with force of arms. And all the while that I am doing this,
the Pact will be on the lookout for these judges and their thugs, to arrest them
and bring them to REAL justice.
Do the officials of Denver and Thornton and Colorado really want a real live war
with Stanley because he REFUSES to be JAILED or incarcerated for the alleged
"crime" of exercising rights specifically protected by both the United States
and Colorado Constitutions? Where does this stop? When does someone make these
judges come to their senses?
If the legislature, the Governor, the city councils of both cities, the mayor of
Thornton and the new Denver Mayor, John Hickenlooper will do nothing to end this
charade by the injustice systems of Denver, Thornton, Denver County, Adams
County, State of Colorado Supreme Court and the Denver Federal District Court,
and the State of Colorado, then what choice does Rick Stanley have, but to do
so, himself.
Stanley states, "I refuse to be jailed or incarcerated for the alleged CRIME of
exercising my fundamental Right, as guaranteed by our state and federal
constitutions, and SB25, to openly carry in the State of Colorado, anywhere and
at anytime If these cases are not be overturned; or pardons issued by the
Governor, then we will be forced to fight it out with force of arms. This free
citizen will not be treated this way by any damn lawyer or politician. Come and
get me!"
