I received an update from Rick Stanley, Libertarian candidate for the U.S. Senate in Colorado who was recently jailed for exercising his Second Amendment right to carry a firearm.

"This Libertarian posted a $1500 bond and was out of jail after roughly 28 hours," he writes. Both he and a compatriot are each facing one count of unlawfully carrying a deadly weapon (as if there's any other kind) in violation of Denver Revised Municipal Code 38-117.5(b). They will be contesting this case on constitutional and civil rights grounds in an effort to have the ordinance declared unconstitutional. Rick is vowing to fight. "Our cause is correct and my motives are pure."
