Interviews with Rick Stanley

October 21, 2002: Pure Politics - Rick Stanley
Interviewed by Ky Starr of purepolitics.com

Q: What distinguishes you from your opponents?

A: I will defend the U.S. Constitution. I will stand up and do acts of civil disobedience when there are ordinances, statutes and legislation that is unconstitutional such as unconstitutional ordinances in Denver and Thornton prohibiting an individual’s exercising their 2nd amendment guarantee to keep and bear arms.

Q: How long have you been involved in politics? Do you remember the first time you voted?

A: I have been voting since I was 18 years old in 1972. I voted for independent 3rd party candidates. I have been very actively involved in politics for 2 ½ years.

Q: What is the greatest challenge of public service?

A: The American people refusing to honor their part in the political process to watch the government and insure that the government does not ignore the Constitution.

Q: What is the most important issue facing the State of Colorado?

A: Same as America. Buy the Federal Reserve Corp. per the 1913 Federal Reserve Act Contractual Agreement the US could buy back this corporation at any time for roughly $500 billion in today’s dollars. With 10 trillion in Social Security debt stolen from the Social Security Trust Fund by politicians and the 7 trillion compounding interest debt combined for 17 trillion in US Federal Debt to the Federal Reserve Corp. This is a no brainer. We buy the company for $500 billion and retire, renounce, destroy, call it paid, and 17 trillion dollars of US Federal debt is over. The Grace Commission Report of 1982 confirmed the income tax only pays the interest on the federal debt. The income tax/IRS goes away. No more income tax. Government funded the say way since 1776 – excise, imposts and duties. That is gas taxes, alcohol taxes, tobacco taxes and taxes on products coming into this country. This has always funded the federal government services; the income tax was a fraud.

Q: What advice would you give someone thinking of running for public office?

A: Read the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, including the Bill of Rights. Go after it hard, after reading those documents.

Q: What is your favorite political book?

A: John Adams by David McCullough

Q: What is your favorite political TV program?

A: There isn’t one, mainstream politics is about upholding the lies told to Americans the last 100 years.

Q: How did you become involved in the Libertarian Party?

A: Read a book entitled “What It Means to Be a Libertarian” by Charles Murray. This inspired me to become involved.

Q: Who are your political mentors? What are some of your favorite political quotes?

A: John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Samuel Adams, Thomas Paine.

“The plain meaning of the right of the people to keep arms is that it is an individual, rather than a collective, right and is not limited to keeping arms while engaged in active military service or as a member of a select militia such as the National Guard." - U.S. vs. Emerson, 5th Circuit Federal Court

“This country with its institutions belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it or their revolutionary right to dismember it or overthrow it.” A. Lincoln

“There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.” J. Adams

“The purpose of government is to enable the people of a nation to live in safety and happiness. Government exists for the interests of the governed, not for the governors. As Benjamin Franklin wrote, "In free governments the rulers are the servants and the people their superiors and sovereigns." The ultimate powers in a society, therefore, rest in the people themselves, and they should exercise those powers, either directly or through representatives, in every way they are competent and that is practicable.” T. Jefferson

“The Constitution shall never be construed... to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.” S. Adams

“To say that any people are not fit for freedom, is to make poverty their choice, and to say they had rather be loaded with taxes than not.” T. Paine

Q: Will the U.S. Invade Iraq by December 2002? Should they invade?

A: Probably. No, I am against a war of aggression by the U.S.

Q: If you were in Congress today, what would be your first bill to sponsor?

A: Buy the Federal Reserve Corp. per the 1913 Federal Reserve Act Contractual Agreement the US could buy back this corporation at any time for roughly $500 billion in today’s dollars. With 10 trillion in Social Security debt stolen from the Social Security Trust Fund by politicians and the 7 trillion compounding interest debt combined for 17 trillion in US Federal Debt to the Federal Reserve Corp. This is a no brainer - we buy the company for $500 billion and retire, renounce, destroy, call it paid, and 17 trillion dollars of US Federal debt is over. The Grace Commission Report of 1982 confirmed the income tax only pays the interest on the federal debt, the income tax/IRS gods. No more income tax. Government funded the say way since 1776 – excise, imposts and duties. That is gas taxes, alcohol taxes, tobacco taxes and taxes on products coming into this country. This has always funded the federal government services; the income tax was a fraud. This will create the largest boom to the American economy of all time with thirty to forty percent staying in every American's pocket, from their wages.

Q: Why should the citizens of the State of Colorado elect you on Nov. 5th, 2002?

A: I will expose the Federal Reserve Corporation, the income tax/ IRS fraud and end it for all time. This will create the largest boom to the American economy of all time.

Q: What are the three legislative bills in the U.S. Senate that you support and why?

A: None. More unconstitutional drivel to support other unconstitutional past legislation that is unconstitutional.

Q: What is your view on the recent Enron debacle? Will the new federal law be effective?

A: Disgraceful. No effect. Throw these criminal in jail and throw away the key.

Q: What type of Health Care reform is needed in the U.S. today?

A: Have the federal government negotiate with all of the insurance companies in the world for an affordable Individual Catastrophic Health Ins. Policy, sold individually to Americans if they wish to participate individually." Second sentence: The power of 290 million Americans, represented by the federal government will secure an inexpensive national policy for individual Americans, to be purchased by Americans individually.

Q: How do you improve education in Colorado and around the U.S.?

A: Sell the schools to the teachers, have the parents involved with this process in each school and with more money in each school person’s pocket with the end of the income tax, each parent can provide a quality education for their children at half the price the government does it. Studies have proven private education is half the price, and the student gets a better education.

Q: Do you think with the recent developments of the “sniper” in D.C. that gun control advocates will gain momentum?

A: They will try. We "defenders of the Constitution" will resist and eventually end "all" of the 25,000 unconstitutional gun laws across America.
