Freedom Drive to Washington DC
by Rick Stanley

Rick Stanley gave the following speech at the Colorado segment of the Freedom Drive
(for further information go to www.givemeliberty.org) held in Denver at 7PM on November 10th
at the Holiday Inn at Chambers and I-70.

Rick will be speaking at the culmination of the Freedom Drive below the Capitol building
on the field between the Smithsonian Museums in Washington, D.C.

“Welcome to the Denver segment of The Freedom Drive. You are all Patriots of the highest order, on a mission to restore America’s republic, and a guaranteed constitutional government that respects those boundaries outlined in the Constitution. I want to go into that in greater detail, but first, I want to acknowledge that this weeklong activity also celebrates the dedication, bravery and honor of those men and women who have served America in our armed services. Veterans’ Day is often overlooked in our society, and I want to use a very appropriate speech from President Lincoln to illustrate the importance of the FIGHT FOR FREEDOM, and the relationship that “We the People,” must commit to America, to ensure that liberty survives.”

“Four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any Nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate - we can not consecrate - we cannot hallow - this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember, what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us - that from these honored dead we take increased devotion tot hat cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion - that we highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain - that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom - and that the government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth. (A. Lincoln)

“Those words from Cemetery Hill at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on November 19, 1863, to honor the war dead from our nation, RESONATE with wisdom for the Patriots of our nations, who must once again embark on a mission, to secure the guaranteed freedoms, fought for by our forefathers, who “were dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.””

“That once again, in our beloved country, men and women, who would usurp the power given freely by “We the People,” to destroy the meaning of freedom through liberty, guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, and imposes the tyranny of unconstitutional taxation. This taxation, this DIRECT TAXATION imposed upon our individual wages, violates the U.S. Constitution, because it is not apportioned equally among the states. In 1915, the Supreme Court said the government cannot do this. The government then decided to call this tax a voluntary tax, so it would be legal. NOT IMPOSED BY FORCE, BUT VOLUNTARY!”

“This tax was a scam, a fraud against the American people, to enrich the coffers of the Twelve International Banks, who convinced the politicians, who sold out America in 1913, to pass the Federal Reserve Act and the Income Tax Act. These politicians made laws for America that violate the supreme law of the land - the U.S. Constitution.”

“Today, we are in the midst of the fight against this tyranny. Bob Schulz, all of the other freedom fighters across America, We The People Foundation For Constitutional Education, We the People Congress, The Freedom Drive, The Million Gun March Petition, and the thousands of other efforts by American Patriots, across this country, in the past, now and in the future, DEDICATE and MUTUALLY PLEDGE to each other on our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor, TO PROTECT AND DEFEND the writings of our forefathers, who ever jealous of liberty, wrote protections into our constitution in plain language - with plain meaning for all to know and understand: It’s purpose is to protect the people in the exercise of liberty FROM ALL ENEMIES, including the very government it created;

That our Constitution created a government to secure those human values declared in its preamble and to protect our unalienable rights recognized in its Bill of Rights; that preserving and protecting those values and rights includes not merely from foreign enemies, but from all manner of domestic enemy under every possible disguise, who would undermine those values and impair those rights, notwithstanding that such wrongs be committed in the name of government itself; that necessary to every value of a civilized society is that Right stated in the heart of the First Amendment which traces its common law ancestry to the union of Just Redress and the Right to meet government’s abridgement of Justice with force of arms; that as the Right of Petition was won at Runnymede in the Year 1215 and recorded in Article 61 of the Magna Carta, so it was won by the blood of our ancestors and recorded in the First and Second Amendments to the United States Constitution: Congress shall make no law…abridging…the right of the people peaceable to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. And to guarantee this absolutely necessary condition of freedom and justice: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. But whereas, in a direct assault on the foundations of liberty and justice, government has combined two insufferable evils to reduce freedom to bondage and self-government to tyranny: It has through a progression of absurd interpretation and arrogance to the Right of Petition, declared itself above the law and its officers immune to violate the Constitution with impunity. And to such despotic ends, it has sent forth hordes of bureaucrats to harass us in every way; to license our every liberty and wage terrorism upon us under the color of false laws; And it has so insulated itself from us by making those who assemble under arms to pry open the halls of justice, criminals for exercising the common right of sense and morality; and to that end, it has passed some 20,000 laws infringing the right of the people to keep and bear arms; As it was said in our beginning: “Taxation without representation is tyranny” so it must be now be said “Government violation of rights without just redress for its wrongs is slavery.” And, therefore, in remembrance of this day in our history that marked the beginning of a new civilization; and in support of This Petition, that it be delivered in the only way our government has left open to meaningful delivery, we mutually pledge to each other on our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor, to peaceably assemble as directed by the organizers of this march, at or near the District of Columbia, to protect and bear witness to the Petitions for Redress of Grievances then and there, presented on November 14, 2002.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, from across America, you have come to defend our country, from the tyranny within the gates. The worst kind of tyranny, accepted by the people who blindly trust the government, to govern within the supreme laws of the land, all the while making and breaking laws for “we the people” while they make government immunity for themselves.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, you are the first, the warrior class of modern day Patriots, to stand up and defend against all odds, from a monolithic government establish, LIBERTY IN OUR LIFETIME! Nothing stands between the rulers of America, and total world domination EXCEPT YOU. Each and every one of you is a modern day Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and George Washington. Patriots of America, I salute you. I am in awe, in reverence, to have the honor to stand with you in defense of liberty in our lifetime!”
