On December 15, 2001, the 210th Anniversary of the Bill of Rights, U.S. Senate Candidate Rick Stanley, and true American patriot Duncan Philp, performed an act of civil disobedience by openly carrying a loaded handgun in a holster during a Bill of Rights Day Celebration in Denver's Lincoln Park. As a result, they were arrested for exercising their Constitutional right to keep and bear arms in the City and County of Denver Colorado. They are each facing one count of unlawfully carrying a deadly weapon in violation of Denver Revised Municipal Code 38-117.5(b). They will be contesting this case on constitutional and civil rights grounds in an effort to have the ordinance declared unconstitutional.

Civil Rights Lawyer Paul Grant, who has argued before the Supreme Court, will be representing these men in court. He emphasizes the importance of supporters packing the courthouse at both of these men's court appearances, as it is vital to impress upon the jurors the importance of this case, and that it is a political trial. We thank you for your support!

A packed courtroom will tell the judge and the jury that the public is aware how important this case is. They must understand the importance of their actions, and that they will be held accountable for their decisions in regards to the law, by the public. Please help deliver that message by attending Rick's trial if you are in Colorado.
