Whats that scraping
sound?
On the clown-in-chief
October 21, 2005
Dear Editor:
What's that scraping sound coming from garages all over America? It's
the frantic removal of Bush/Cheney '04 bumper stickers as the Bush
Kool-Aid wears off on the less-thinking half of our nation.
As the Bush-failed-state of a presidency races to its richly deserved
bottom, with the intelligent design of Iraq, Katrina, high petrol
prices and flagrant crony capitalism, for (most) all to see. One
ponders "what's up" with the third who don't see, and still support the
pack of lies used for Iraq and the rest of the Bush agenda.
The Bush true believers, at this point, can be categorized into three
distinct groups: one, the ill-informed or "stuck on stupid"; two, "the
too proud to admit they were fooled by a fool"; or three, of course,
the lowest of the low, the war profiteers.
If there's any justice left in our (currently) short-circuited
democracy, our '06 election will be a referendum on Bush. With the
straightforward question of "Do you, aspiring member of the people's
Congress, support the immediate withdrawal from Iraq and the
impeachment and prosecution of Bush for high crimes and misdemeanors,
under Article 2, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution?"
Bush's nomination of Harriet Miers gives clues to the answer our
clown-in-chief would give to this question. The Supreme Court that
appointed him, he would desperately hope would save him.
