Letter from Randy Neugebauer

Mr. Warren Nelson
Odessa, Texas

Dear Mr. Nelson:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your support for the Right to Keep and bear Arms Act, H.R. 3125. I appreciate hearing from you.

Representative Ron Paul introduced this legislation to protect the Second Amendment of the Constitution from foreign gun control policies. Over the past decade, the United Nations (UN) has waged a campaign to undermine the right to keep and bear arms. For example, in June 2003, the UN sponsored a "Week of Action Against Small Arms."

Contrary to UN propaganda, the right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right, and according to the drafters of the Constitution, the guardian of every other right. It is essential that we protect this freedom, and I wholly support this legislation. The United States is a sovereign nation and will not have policy dictated to us from international organizations such as the UN.

Currently, this legislation is under consideration in the House Committee on International Relations. I will closely monitor the progress of this bill, and keep your support in mind.

Again, thank you for contacting me. If I may be of assistance in the future, do not hesitate to call on me.

Sincerely,

Randy Neugebauer
